The Distinguished Young Woman of Utah for 2022 is Isabel Hallows, from Salina.

Isabel’s achievements include: Elected Utah Girl's State Attorney General 2021-22 • Performed at the Smoky Mountain Opry House in Pigeon Forge, TN • State Social Science Sterling Scholar Winner • Top College Government Student 2021 • State Cheer Three Year “Jump Off” Winner • Winner of the Utah Division of Water Poster Contest in Visual Arts • Selected as a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Ambassador for My School • Student of the Year in Math • Awarded Two Level 9 Tumbling State Championships • Received Superior Ratings at the Federation Piano Competitions

In addition, Isabel’s activities include: Student Body Vice President 2021-2022 • Humanitarian Service Trip to Costa Rica • Vice President of Rho Kappa • Student Action Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida • Varsity Cheer Captain • Dance Choreographer and Instructor • Active member of Young Americans for Freedom • Member of H.O.P.E. Organized and gave presentations on voting and election procedure to grades 1-8 • Instructed 75+ girls in summer dance camps I directed and organized for 5 years • Helped assemble hygiene kits for Days for Girls monthly for the last year • Founded and presented resilience campaigns for elementary students since 2018 • Raised over $1400 for families in need in my community at Christmastime
